CANDY BUY BACK 2011
Our Halloween Candy Buy Back event was once again a huge success thanks to all of you who participated. This year we collected 561 pounds of candy!!! Each child received a gold dollar for every pound of candy that they brought in, plus $561.00 was donated to The Children’s Hospital of The Kings Daughters, representing a one dollar donation for each pound of candy. And where did 561 pounds of candy go? The wonderful people at Ft. Eustis picked it up and sent it, along with notes of appreciation and encouragement from the children, to our troops serving in the Middle East!
