Dr. Mitchell Avent obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Medical College of Virginia and completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at Medical College of Georgia. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has been in private practice since 1977.
Dr. Avent is a member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association, and has lectured to various dental groups, the PTA and other schools. Away from the office, he enjoys scuba diving, softball, basketball, books, movies and traveling.
