First Visit

Welcome to our office! We understand that each patient has different health needs, aesthetic goals, and expectations about treatment. We have set aside a special time to discuss these questions regarding your or your child's orthodontic care. After you have scheduled a new patient appointment, a welcome packet will be sent to your home. For your first visit, if you choose, you may print and complete the forms needed for this appointment.

Upon your arrival, you will always be greeted by our staff and they will assist you in getting checked in. The front desk will notify our treatment coordinator that you have arrived.

You will meet Dr. Rubenstein to discuss treatment options. Dr. Rubenstein is able to obtain basic information regarding any current or potential problems. She can then properly address your individual concerns and needs. If treatment is indicated, Dr. Rubenstein will:

  • Address the nature of the orthodontic problems
  • Explain the type of orthodontic treatment required
  • Estimate the length of treatment time
  • Answer all of your questions

Our treatment coordinator will provide you with:

  • An examination report of problems and recommended treatment
  • Information regarding future appointments
  • Estimated cost of treatment
  • Payment options available through our office

If you do have insurance benefits, please complete the appropriate information on the form so that we may assist you in receiving your full orthodontic benefits. During the new patient exam, our treatment coordinator will determine your total amount of benefits and give you an estimate of your personal payment schedule.

Please allow approximately 1½ hours for your first visit to our office. If your child is ready to begin orthodontics and if you are satisfied with the proposed treatment plan and financial arrangements, then you may initiate the start of orthodontic treatment.
