Meet Dr. Rubenstein

Dr. Loretta Rubenstein attended dental school at the University of North Carolina. She completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College.

She has been in private practice since 1993. During her tenure as professor at the VCU Medical College, she did extensive lecturing and research, wrote grants and published multiple articles.

Dr. Rubenstein maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Virginia Dental Association, Virginia Association of Orthodontists, MCV Orthodontic/Education Foundation, Tidewater Dental Association and Tidewater Orthodontic Society.

Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mitch Avent, and their children, Kassi and Brendan. As a family, they love vacationing, scuba diving, jet skiing and snow skiing. She and her husband run and compete in triathlons.
